Call for Papers for “Study on Natural and Cultural Heritage”

“Study on Natural and Cultural Heritage” (CN10-1616/K, ISSN2096-689X) is an academic journal officially approved by China’s National Radio and Television Administration, sponsored and published by Beijing Prominion Publishing Co., Ltd., and co-edited by the World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and the Pacific Region (Beijing) under the auspices of UNESCO (WHITRAP Beijing) and Peking University School of Archaeology and Museology. The magazine is now openly calling for papers from researchers, teachers, students, managers and followers in the fields of history, geography, archaeology, cultural studies, museum studies, architecture, agriculture, hydrology, fine art and other heritage-related disciplines.

Journal Mission

The journal publishes original articles on the history, current issues, theory, methodology, case study and critique on the conservation and management of natural, cultural and mixed heritage. The journal provides a platform to disseminate advance theories and praxis on international and Chinese heritage conservation and management. Each issue has a dedicated theme to promote critical discourse on contemporary heritage issues and across disciplines. It is currently the only Chinese academic journal that focuses on natural, cultural and mixed heritage.

Manuscript Requirements

Basic Requirements: Contributions should be in line with the purpose of this journal, with clear opinions, accurate materials, precise data, rigorous argumentation, fluent writing, good graphics and texts. The main body should be no less than 6,000 words. The academic misconduct detection results are required to be less than 15%.

Required Contents of Contributions:

  1. Title (Chinese and English);
  2. Author’s name;
  3. 3. Author’s organization (Chinese and English);
  4. 3. Author’s organization (Chinese and English);
  5. Chinese abstract in 200-400 words and its corresponding English abstract;
  6. Key words (Chinese and English) 3~5;
  7. Chinese Library Classification Number;
  8. Main text (not less than 6000 words);
  9. References;
  10. Project funding and serial number;
  11. Introduction to the author: author (birth year___), gender, title/educational degree; his/her main research direction is XXXX. E-mail: XXXXXXX.

Image Requirements:The images in the text must be representative and convincing; the captions must be complete; the text and image content must be clear and legible. The pixels must be above 300dpi, the .png file must be above 500k, and the .jpg file must be above 800k. You must include original image (note the author, figure sequence and figure title) and send the compressed package to the submission mailbox.

Validation and Publication

This journal implements a three-level review system, namely, preliminary review by the editorial department, peer review by experts, and final review by the main editor/editor-in-chief.

From the date of submission, the editorial department will inform the author of the results of the preliminary review and the academic misconduct detection results via e-mail within7 days.

If it passes the preliminary review, the editorial department will notify the author of the acceptance of the manuscript via email within 2months.

If accepted, the editorial department will promptly provide feedback and suggestions for the author to edit his/her manuscript; if not accepted, the editorial department will also inform the author via email. The editorial department has the right to make appropriate text deletions and corrections to the accepted manuscripts.

Other Conventions

The author is requested to strictly abide by the relevant confidentiality regulations of the state and the industry, and is responsible for the article after the manuscript is published. When quoting the work of others in the manuscript, please specify the name of the original author, the name of the work and its source in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Copyright Law, and list them in the references. Please do not submit the manuscript to more than one journals.

This journal has been included in the “China Academic Journals Online Publishing Database”, CNKI series database and China Core Journals (Selection) Database, and has been recognized as an academic journal by China’s National Radio and Television Administration. The author’s article copyright usage fee and the journal’s manuscript remuneration are paid in a lump sum. The author’s statistical analysis data are provided free of charge for article citation. If the author does not allow the article to be included, please declare to this journal when submitting the manuscript, so that the journal will deal with it appropriately.
